Kiwi’ism

We were listening to a Radio New Zealand podcast the other day. They were interviewing a Kiwi woman called Tze Ming Mok. She was asked to describe New Zealand and this is her quote…

“New Zealand is a kind of a post-colonial, deconstructed loose floppy environment where you can be a bit different and not necessarily entrenched in anything”

I like this quote, it is kind of important when you live abroad to hear people state your identity. And in this case, I think Tze Ming Mok has described the New Zealand that I know very well.

Photo was taken from the New Zealand Book Council website.

Cupla Quotes

Hey, just wanna throw ya a coupla quotes from a dude called Rob Bell. Check these out, ’cause they kinda crank my handle and make sense to me eh!

” The moment God is figured out with nice neat lines and definitions, we are no longer dealing with God. We are dealing with somebody we made up. And if we made him up then we are in control.”

“I often meet people who are waiting to follow God until they have all of their questions answered. they will be waiting for a long time, because if we knew everything, we’d be…God”
