Going Nowhere

Going Nowhere

He said he loved her as he pushed her to the ground
He said he loved her as he ripped the buttons off
He said he loved her as he had his way with her limp and whimpering body
Though he was gone she heard him say he loved her as she cried in the shower washing her flesh raw

And we tell her that Jesus loves her
She’s heard a man say that he loves her before
And she doesn’t want it again
Can you blame her?
