Kelvin Fowler Biography

My name is Kelvin Fowler (but please call me Kel), I spent most of my growing years in a small village just south of Dunedin, New Zealand.

I married my beautiful long time friend in 1998 and continue to flourish in this relationship today.

I have been based abroad for half of my life living in countries such as Australia, Canada, USA, Mexico, The Philippines, Scotland and Lithuania.

After failing school, rebelling my way through my teenage years and experimenting with a number of vocations, I eventually settled into a life of serving people through the excitement and complexities of the church. Most of my last sixteen years has been spent with the world’s poor, homeless and orphaned. In 2002 I became an ordained minister and still totally love this calling.

As a backdrop to this, and as an overflow of my lifestyle and devotion to God, I  write, paint and take photos. My secret passion is stand-up poetry.

Though I miss home, I feel considerably blessed to be doing the things that I enjoy so much.

Cheers
Kel
