Some photo’s from our orphanage outreach in Latvia

To me this is one of those pictures that paints a thousand words. When I look into faces like these, it breaks my heart. I start thinking about what her life must be like and what she remembers to justify such a sad and beautiful face. It’s faces like this that empower me to pray. I don’t even know her name.

But then I see photo’s like this. One wee girl being given individual time by a volunteer and I start to think. Did she get a glimpse of God whilst drawing her shamrock?

And look at this wee girl at peace in the lap of another volunteer.

We never ever seem to have enough people to paint faces
quick enough to keep the kids happy. But they love it.

Then there is always the kid that sits on your lap and picks his nose 🙂
